Romain Grosjean set an early pace, as his fastest laptime of 1:56.552 was enought to keep him on top during the session, which was heavily affected by rain.
In the 90 minutes of the session, there was little drama as the drivers edged around the soaking wet circuit. Despite this the grandstands were well visited by the many race fans, who had ventured out in the rain.
Daniel Ricciardo finished 2nd for Toro Rosso, Lewis Hamilton 3rd, then Sergio Perez, Felipe Massa, Mark Webber, Kamui Kobayashi, Michael Schumacher, Nico Rosberg and Jean-Eric Vergne.
From 11th it´s Sebastian Vettel, Vitaly Petrov, Valtteri Bottas for Williams, Heikki Kovalainen, Pastor Maldonado, Kimi Raikkonen, Jenson Button and Timo Glock. Final runners is Pedro De la Rosa in 19th from Dani Clos, Charles Pic, Fernando Alonso, Paul di Resta and Jules Bianchi.
