I am using the blog-platform as means of getting the stories out to the readers. I use search engines, newspapers, other blogs, personal websites, professional websites, team sites and much more.
Getting the right information is key to your experience on the blog. First of all I will always strive to get as much relevant information into an article as possible, this is so that you know that though I might be doing this for fun, I am serious about it. As you probably know, no one can be totally un-biased. There will always be some little angle that the journalist have chosen over another, and I do that too. So because of that, you shouldn´t consider this a totally un-biased blog.
What I am doing, though, is trying to deliver the relevant news in a slightly different way. I might be posting race updates, accurate timing from test results, quotes from drivers and such, but will spice things up with personal views, in separate articles.
I don´t have the luxury to travel to the races. I don´t meet with team bosses or get invitations to events. I could if I wanted to. I also don´t work for anyone, which makes me completely freelance. I will say that those you have the possibility to attend the races and report from there, those who are making a living of what they are doing, have my greatest respect. Some might think that I am stealing the stories, when in reality, all I do is to offer a different view. You can hear the same story on dozens of websites, all with the exactly the same wordings, taken from the original source. I also read those articles and visit those places, but I always use my own words, making the story from scratch.
I get it wrong sometimes, sure I do. I once predicted that Michael Schumacher would only win five championships and that Mark Webber would win in 2010. I know, right? So when someone tells you that I am just copying others, or that I don´t know anything, compare the sites, links, blogs. I am not better than someone else, I am just a guy writing about a passion of mine.
The blog is my place, it’s where I write whatever I feel like and you are more than welcome to comment and take part in the debate. But please abstain from racist comments, do try to use a moderate language. Swearing is ok, but don´t go all nuts. I can and will exercise my right to kick you off the blog and ban you for eternity, and I will not tell you why. That´s my right.
Other than that, have fun!
